What Is CoolSculpting® Elite?
CoolSculpting Elite is the next-generation version of the original CoolSculpting platform. It uses the same controlled-cooling principle while incorporating updated applicators designed to improve treatment coverage and efficiency.
The treatment is completely noninvasive, requiring no incisions or anesthesia. Most patients can return to their normal activities shortly after treatment.
What Can CoolSculpting® Improve?

How Does CoolSculpting® Elite Work?
CoolSculpting Elite uses controlled cooling to target fat cells beneath the skin. Fat cells are more sensitive to cold temperatures than the surrounding tissues. During treatment, the targeted fat cells are cooled until they crystallize and begin to break down.
Over time, your body naturally processes and eliminates the treated fat cells. Because this process occurs gradually, improvements in the treated area’s contours develop over the weeks and months following treatment.

What to Expect During CoolSculpting® Elite Treatment
During your appointment, a specialized applicator is positioned over the treatment area and delivers controlled cooling to the fat cells beneath the skin.
You may initially notice sensations of cooling and pressure as treatment begins. Many patients are comfortable enough during their appointment to read, check email, use their phone, or simply relax.
Because CoolSculpting Elite is nonsurgical, most patients can resume their normal activities shortly after their appointment.

During your visit, a cooling device is placed on the treatment area. You can return to normal activities immediately.

As you may expect, the CoolSculpting procedure will feel a little chilly. For the first 5 to 10 minutes, you may feel intense cold as the treated area becomes numb. Since most applicators use a vacuum to draw fatty tissue in, you may also feel some tugging, pulling, and/or mild pinching.
Yes, you can absolutely multitask during your CoolSculpting treatment. You are encouraged to read, check your emails, take a nap, or whatever feels comfortable for you. You can relax while you say goodbye to stubborn fat.
Because the CoolSculpting procedure is completely non-surgical, it’s typically very easy to return to your normal activities after the treatment. Often, patients go back to work on the same day. When you have a CoolSculpting treatment, there are no needles, no surgery, and no downtime.
Typical side effects after the procedure include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, and pain. For a few hours after the applicator is removed, many patients do experience redness in the treated area. In rare cases, this redness may persist for a few days, up to 2 weeks, but it will completely resolve itself.
The frozen fat cells become crystallized, then die. The dead fat cells then are naturally processed and eliminated by your body. Some patients wonder if the results are permanent. CoolSculpting results are long term because those fat cells, and that fat bulge, are gone for good.
You may start seeing changes in your body as quickly as 3 weeks after your treatment. The most dramatic results are usually visible after 2 months. Several months after your treatment, your body will still continue to flush out fat cells.
After your CoolSculpting treatment, no special supplements are required. You won’t need to change any of your lifestyle habits because it’s not a diet and exercise program. Many people do feel more motivated to take good care of themselves after a CoolSculpting treatment.
