At SkinSmart Dermatology®, we aim to provide each and every patient with unrushed attention and excellent service when they visit us for medical and cosmetic dermatology services in Sarasota. In fairness to everyone, we have instituted policies that ensure that we have adequate time and resources to devote to you and your fellow patients. Please familiarize yourself with the following policies and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Healthy, beautiful skin begins at SkinSmart Dermatology®. Request a cosmetic consultation or call our Sarasota office at 941-308-7546. Women and men visit us from the entire Suncoast of Florida including Siesta Key, Longboat Key, Venice and Bradenton for their dermatologic care.

Cosmetic Scheduling Policy

We look forward to seeing you at your upcoming cosmetic appointment! As a cosmetic dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon, Dr. Elizabeth Callahan’s time is in great demand. However we set aside special allotted appointments for cosmetic patients and allocate staff members to prepare for your services.

In turn we require a credit card to hold all cosmetic appointments and ask that you provide our office with at least 48 hours’ notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. We will also call you to remind you of your appointment at the phone numbers you provide. If we do not hear back from you or if 48 hours’ notice is not provided, a $250 cancellation fee will be charged to your credit card.

Mohs Cancellation Policy

SkinSmart Dermatology® is committed to providing you with the highest quality of patient care so please mark your calendars with your surgery date. Mohs surgery is a specialized procedure that requires hours of preparation from our team members. If you need to change or cancel your Mohs surgery with SkinSmart Dermatology®, please CALL WITHIN 7 DAYS OF YOUR SURGERY DATE or you will be charged a $100 cancellation fee. You will receive a phone call from one of our Medical Assistants seven days prior to your surgery; this is a good time to reschedule your appointment if necessary.

Late Arrival Policy

As a courtesy to our other patients, any patient who is more than 15 minutes late for his/her appointment will not be seen, may be rescheduled and will be treated as a “late cancellation”. Please arrive for your appointment on time, or 15-20 minutes early if necessary to fill out any required office paperwork.

Product Return Policy

In the event that you are not satisfied, we will gladly provide an in-office credit or exchange if returned unopened within 30 days of your purchase date. NO REFUNDS ON PRESCRIPTIONS!
